COLLEGE PREPARATION AND MENTORING PROGRAM
In a one-on-one, individualized setting, students will receive guidance and mentoring as they undergo the college admissions process. Beginning their 10th or 11th grade year, students will receive test preparation tutoring for the PSAT, SAT and ACT, as well as, any mentoring regarding graduation requirements and coursework. Once their 12th grade year begins, students will also receive guidance during the college application process, as well as, peer editing for their college application essays.
**NOTE: This program is for those who are looking to attend a university and who are looking to receive mentoring through their 12th grade year. Community College students who are looking to transfer to a university are also encouraged to sign up.
Sessions Information
One-on-One
- Offered both for in-person and virtual sessions
- Higher in price than group sessions (Virtual: $30/session; In-person: $40-50/session)
- Individualized and fit for a student’s special academic needs
Group Sessions
- Up to 2 to 3 students per group (must be of same grade and working on same subject)
- Offered for in-person sessions only
- Prices are slightly less than a one-on-one session (e.g. If a one-on-one is $40, the group session for 2 is $65 ($32.50/student) & $90 for 3 ($30/student))
Special Programs
- Time and prices will vary depending on special program being offered
- Programs consist of informational sessions, virtual and in-person workshops, Q&A’s etc.
- Programs delve into various topics such as College Prep, the College Application Process, Life After College, Mental Wellness, How to Tackle Test Anxiety, etc.

In-Person Sessions
- To keep up with the safety and health of all students, parents, guardians and tutors, all in-person sessions will take place at a local library in the Greater Los Angeles region
Virtual Sessions
- Virtual sessions are done through any video platform of the student's choosing
- Video platforms can include, but are not limited to Zoom, Google Meet and Skype
TIME
- Each Session will be a total of 1 hour (50-55 minutes of coursework with remaining 5-10 minutes to discuss with parents/guardians and close-out session)
- Sessions can be scheduled between the hours of 10:00 am PST and 8:00 pm PST, Monday through Friday, and between the hours of 10:00 am PST and 3:00 pm PST on Saturdays
